October 2010

14-15 months old

  • 10/1/2010: You can say 4 animal sounds: dog, cow, kitty, monkey.
  • 10/2/2010: Grandma Deuby gave you your first haircut ... sort of.  We just cut your bangs to keep them out of your beautiful big blue eyes.  You were none too thrilled with the experience.
  • 10/3/2010: We took you to the cider mill for the first time, Yates Cider Mill in Rochester.  Dexter came, too!
  • 10/7/2010: You were diagnosed with Roseola after having a low fever on & off for a few days.  You broke out in the rash between home & the pediatrician's office!  That was your first real sickness.
  • 10/15/2010: You climbed up the stairs all by yourself on all fours.
  • When you are tired & ready for nap, you wave bye-bye to Dexter
  • You looooooove to play with Little People.
  • 10/23/2010: 20 lbs. 7 oz. (10th percentile) & 31 in. (75th percentile)
All my love for always,
Mommy

November 2010

15-16 months old

  • 11/6/2010: You went DOWN the basement steps all by yourself!
  • 11/14/2010: You stood for several seconds all by yourself!  You do this really cute "silly crawl" where you sort of bop from side to side & swing your arms to the outside while crawling forward.  You KNOW you're being silly & you like an audience!
All my love for always,
Mommy

February 2011

Here is some of our February fun:

You still love to play chase & wear Daddy's hats.  You are very, very sweet & affectionate.  When Mumma changes your diaper on your changing pad, you take my arm in yours & hug it to the side of your face.  So sweet & moving!

2/23/2011: You cut your fifth tooth on the left side.

Mummy took you to story hour at the library.  You loved the songs & stories & books & kids. You might have loved running around the library most of all!

During the last week of February:
  • You said "Mmmmmmm ..." when things taste good.
  • You say "hot" in this very breathy voice in a near-whisper.
  • You give a dramatic grunty groan when you attempt to pick up something heavy.
  • You take us by the hand & lead us to where you want to go.  It's very sweet.
  • You hiss when we ask you what Regis (Grandma & Grandpa Deuby's jerk of a cat) says.
